Columbia [A VFX Animation]

After watching a documentary about the Columbia disaster, which occurred on February 1st, 2003, I decided to make a little recreation of the shuttle's final moments, as it was flying over Texas and Louisiana. 
The entire animation, with scriptwriting, rendering, and editing, took me around three days to create - plus, for this project, I had to learn how to use Cinema 4D's destruction effect, which was the first time I've ever done that in the software.
My original idea was to make only the disintegration sequence, but I decided to make a build up to the initial disaster-moment.
(Not so fun fact: The Columbia disaster occurred on the day of my 5th birthday...)
